Kubrick's 'The Shining'

for my money, kubrick was one of the best moviemakers ever.
the psychological disintegration of jack torrance is an awful, terrible, fascinating thing to watch in The Shining.
a horror film of first water.

RIghtly so, E.

What I don't understand is Stephen King's TV mini-series. Apparently, he was not all that happy about Kubrick's version.
How, I ponder, is that possible. It's one of the best horrors of any generation.

kubrick was a master storyteller i think; there are still parts of 'the shining' and 'a clockwork orange' that make me shiver and want to avert my eyes...
